Hello. I am trying to set up an automation where someone comments “train” on my Instagram post.  When this happens, I want them to get a message asking them if it is ok to send a lead magnet (the next step is to get their email address, but I haven’t gotten that far yet).

When someone comments “train”, they get the message, but the button that I have to ask for their ok to move on the the next message where I get their email address is not working (it just reloads the Instagram message page).

They are getting stuck in the first step right after the trigger.  


Here is a screenshot of how I have the first “send message box” above set up...can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Your automation looks correct. This is happening when the user uses a laptop or a mobile device?


Sometimes, there are some mysterious bugs about buttons 🙃

A workaround is using a quick reply instead of a button. Could you try it and see if it works?

Hey, thanks...I changed the button to a quick reply, but when I test it in Instagram, I get the initial text before the quick reply, but the quick reply never shows up (so the user is unable to move to the next step).

 

I have attached screenshots both of my manychat automation and what is happening on the other end in instagram...any ideas where I am going wrong?
