Question

Can I connect Facebook and Instagram on the same ManyChat account?

The Eyewear Stylist

I’m feeling frustrated, as when I create a post on instagram, it duplicates the post on my connected Facebook page (which is fine, and what I want.)

However the ManyChat automated responses will only respond to the comments on the instagram post.

There doesn’t seem to be an option to have the Facebook account connected on my same manychat account.

Forcing me to have to create 2 seperate profiles with 2 seperate paid subscriptions.

Surely there must be a way ManyChat can sort this out as I don’t want to be having 2 seperate memberships and having to create 2 seperate automations every time I do a post.

Any help appreciated.

Hi @The Eyewear Stylist  - you only need one Manychat account to connect both your Instagram and Facebook accounts. You don’t need two.

But what you do need to do is ensure that you have built automations that will trigger on both IG and FB. One automation doesn’t automatically fire for both channels as the triggers are different for each platform.

Easiest way to do this is by using the flow builder (not Quick Automations) for Instagram and then duplicate your flow to ‘convert’ it for Facebook.

Hi @The Eyewear Stylist, you dont need two separate Manychat accounts, you can connect both channels to the same account.

Just bear in mind you have to tailored the flows for each channel as  FB organic post triggers are not the same for  IG.

You can check this guides from help center:

FB Triggers: https://help.manychat.com/hc/en-us/articles/14281386567836-Facebook-Comments-Trigger

IG Tiggers:

Hope this helps
