Can't delete or create new account

I have been trying to delete my old account since it was grandfathered in years ago, but already maxed out, and deleting and clearing it did nothing. And I don’t want to upgrade on this old account because I’m literally over the limit on that account for contacts I don’t even have and are 8+ years old.

ManyChat support won’t help me delete the old account, because I’m not a paid user but I have to request a refund to get rid of the $1 that’s magically on my account for some reason.

I can’t create a new account because I need to run it through FB, and since the FB is tied to my old account above (and I’ve disconnected everything, but still there) every time I try to connect FB on my new account it syncs with the old one and opens it right back up.

So literally ManyChat put me in a position to where I can’t even use their service, and I WANT to pay them.

Any suggestions?

The thing trapping you is the Facebook permission, not the account itself. You don't have to win the delete fight to get unstuck.

In the old account: Settings > Messenger > scroll to the bottom > "Remove Facebook Page from Manychat." That detaches the page from the old account. Heads up, it wipes the Messenger contacts on it, but those are the dead 8-year-old ones you're trying to ditch anyway.

Then on Facebook itself: Settings & Privacy > Settings > Business Integrations > remove Manychat. That kills the leftover connection that keeps re-syncing and reopening the old account every time you set up the new one.

After both, the page is free and connects to your new account clean. The $1 only blocks deleting the old account, and you don't actually need to delete it for any of this to work.
