Cant get Auto-DM links from comments to work

Welcome to the pain of day one, this trips up almost everyone. Nine times out of ten it's one of these:

1. You're testing with your own account. Instagram won't fire an automation off the page owner's own comment. Grab a friend or a second account to test.
2. The trigger post. Make sure the automation is pointed at the right post (or set to "all posts"). If it's on a specific post, the comment has to be on that exact one.
3. Keyword match. If you set a keyword, the comment has to actually contain it. Set it to "any comment" while you're testing so you can rule that out.
4. Message access. In your IG app, Settings > Messages and story replies > Connected Tools / "Allow access to messages" needs to be ON, and the same permission toggled on inside ManyChat.

One more thing that makes people think it's broken when it isn't: the first DM to someone who's never messaged you lands in their message requests / hidden folder, not their main inbox. So it may be working and you just aren't seeing it. Test with an account that already follows or has DMed the page.

Try one thing… in your button in the opening DM (Send me the link and discount) has 29 characters. Instagram’s limit for buttons is 20 characters. Shorten it to 20 char or less and test it again.
