Hi,
I'm experiencing an issue with my Instagram automations.

I’ve set up a system where, when someone comments a specific keyword on my post, they receive an automatic reply like "Check your DMs" and then get a direct message.
However, the automation doesn’t seem to work consistently. Sometimes it replies as expected, but other times it doesn't reply at all — neither in the comments nor in the DMs. It feels random.

This inconsistency is causing confusion for my audience and affects the performance of my posts.

Could you please help me understand:

  • Why the automation might be failing intermittently?

  • If there are any limits or conditions that could be blocking or delaying the automation?

  • How I can ensure more consistent performance?

There is the problem with comment automations. Sometimes meta restrict comment automations. It has nothing to do with manychat. 

Comments automations have 70-80% delivery rate.

When you set up an automation, it supposed to work every time, but sometimes there are some barriers that doesn’t allow Manychat to do its work, for example:

  • Meta restrict the users’ comments
  • The user doesn’t allow receiving messages from accounts that doesn’t follow them
