Comment "xxx" feature automatization not triggering.

Hi, my Instagram comment-to-DM automation is not firing at all.

Account: @josepaldosa
Connection type: New Enhanced Connection
Automation: LIVE
Trigger: Instagram user comments on a specific Reel
Keyword: test / Test
Reel selected: correct viral Reel
Tests: done from other Instagram accounts, as new top-level comments, not replies
Delay: waited more than 1 hour
Result: 0 sends / 0 executions

Things already done:

  • Refreshed permissions multiple times

  • Deleted Instagram channel from ManyChat and reconnected from scratch

  • Accepted Meta permissions again

  • Confirmed there are no native Meta automations intercepting comments

  • Confirmed Instagram is professional and linked to the correct Facebook Page

  • Tried Quick Automation and manual setup

  • The comment appears on Instagram/Meta, but ManyChat never receives/triggers it

Question:
Can you check server-side whether Instagram comment webhooks are being received for @josepaldosa and whether the Post/Reel Comment trigger is correctly registered for this specific Reel?

Also, should “Current ManyChat Role” be set to Primary for New Enhanced Connection, and where exactly can I verify that?

    Regarding your question about the Manychat role, yes, Manychat should be set as the Primary Receiver to ensure the webhooks are properly caught. You can verify this by going to your connected Facebook Page settings and then clicking on Advanced Messaging. In the Handover Protocol section, you can configure the roles for Instagram and make sure Manychat is selected as the Primary Receiver.
