Hello! I’m setting up Manychat for the first time on the Free plan, using Microsoft Edge on Windows.
I select “See More Options” → “Connect Via Instagram”. After approving access, I repeatedly receive this error:
“Something’s not quite right… Your account might not support this method yet.”
What I have already checked:

My Instagram account is professional.

“Allow access to messages” is enabled under Connected tools.

Manychat-IG appears as active in Instagram’s Apps and Websites settings, with profile and message access granted.

Comments and Insights permissions were disabled because I only need DM automation. The Manychat AI support assistant said these permissions are not required for this connection method.

Reloading Manychat and repeating authorization gives the same error.
I do not have a Facebook account or Facebook Page.
After choosing “Explore Without Connecting”, the dashboard still says “Connect Instagram to get started”. There is no “Refresh Permissions” option in my Help menu.
Has anyone resolved this specific initial connection error with the direct Instagram method? What should I check next?
