Connecting AI with ManyChat

- ManyChat AI Step (WA & FB) — Native ManyChat tool, easy to set up, works well for generating AI responses within a flow. https://help.manychat.com/hc/en-us/articles/14281187288860-Manychat-AI-Step
- ManyChat AI (IG) — Also native, more advanced and works more like an agent: you can provide context and files to customize its behavior. Great for Instagram DM automation. https://help.manychat.com/hc/en-us/articles/23096273858716-Manychat-AI-Goals
- ChatGPT integration — Two paths: use ManyChat's native GPT action (simple request/response), or connect via External Request for more control through the OpenAI API.
- Claude integration — Available in beta.
- External Request — The most flexible option. You can connect ManyChat to virtually any AI tool or agent via API directly, or through Make/Zapier. Tools like n8n are popular for building custom AI agents that integrate with ManyChat.
My recommendation: start with the simplest option that fits your use case — ManyChat AI Step or ManyChat AI are good starting points. They work well, but proper configuration matters.
