Connecting Whatsapp to ManyChat, which option we need to use to connect

When connecting WhatsApp with ManyChat we have those 3 options:-

 

Transfer your own WhatsApp number
Create a new WhatsApp number
Connect your WhatsApp number with Coexistence [BETA]

 

 

so what are the differences between the first and third option? as both will connect to existing number , am i correct?

Hi ​@sota   Good question! Both options connect an existing number, but the key difference is what happens to your WhatsApp Business app afterward:

Transfer your own number — Your number moves fully to ManyChat. You lose access to the WhatsApp Business app for that number (it stops working there - I dont recomend it).

Coexistence (BETA) — Your number connects to ManyChat and you can still use the WhatsApp Business app at the same time.

Which should you choose?

  • I think the best is to Create a new number in Manychat, this is mainly for people who want a fresh dedicated number for automation, separate from their current business number, less bugs and errors.
