Connection complete, but no messages go through.

Hi everyone, I just got Manychat today and connected it to our Instagram business account successfully. I then created a “Welcome Followers” automation and turned it LIVE, but it won’t trigger/send messages. I’ve read multiple How-tos and gone around in circles with the AI chatbot. It seems like none of the suggested options to fix it appear to us. Here is what I have tried so far:

  • Refreshing the connection multiple times.
  • Made sure that “Allow Access To Messages” is turned ON in the Instagram app.
  • I’ve tried selecting Manychat in the Select a Default Routing App through the Facebook Business Page Settings, but it won’t appear in the drop down menu.
  • I’ve tried adding it to Conversation Routing in Business Suite - Manychat is listed under Integrations - Connected Apps, but it does NOT show up under Integrations - Conversation Routing, I also have no option of adding it - The page is blank with no buttons or menus.
  • Made sure that Manychat has permission to “Manage and access messages for the Instagram account”

Has anyone run into this issue or might have some thoughts how to fix it?

Would be super grateful to get this resolved.
