Will keyword automations work the same if a customer comments the keyword from a paid ad or does it have to be an organic post or story?

Hi,
This only works if the Ad is something you already posted on your feed. Those called “Dark Ads” (wich doesn’t appear on your feed) doesn’t work with Comment Triggers.
BUT… you could use the IG/FB Ads Trigger for that. Here you find how to implement it: https://help.manychat.com/hc/en-us/articles/14281321942428-Instagram-Ads-Trigger
