Hi everyone,
I’m trying to set up an Facebook Ads Trigger in Manychat for a Meta campaign that sends people directly to Facebook DM.
The goal is simple: when someone clicks the ad, the Manychat flow should start automatically. I do not want to use a keyword trigger.
My setup:
- Trigger: User clicks an Facebook Ad
- First block: Facebook Send Message
- First message contains text + Quick Replies
- No First Name variable
- No buttons, only Quick Replies
- No delay
- No image/media
- No automatic next step before the Quick Replies
- The Quick Replies are connected to the next messages
- Flow has been recreated from scratch
- I also tested with a very simple first message like: “Hallo?” + one Quick Reply
But I keep getting this error:
“Add at least one Quick Reply to the first message to set up Instagram Ads”
I already deleted and recreated the first message block and the trigger, but the issue remains.
Does anyone know why Manychat is not recognizing the Quick Replies in the first message? Is there a specific setting I’m missing for Facebook Ads Trigger, or could this be related to the Meta campaign/message destination setup?
