Facebook Alert Automation Activities

Chihuahua

Hi everyone,

Facebook just flagged my account for suspected automated behavior and warned about possible restrictions. I’m not sure what triggered this since I’m only using standard flows and broadcasts.

In the notification, it says they believe my account is engaging in automated activity and that I should ensure no third-party tools or unauthorized users are accessing it. They also warned that the account could be temporarily restricted or permanently disabled if the issue continues.

Has anyone experienced this before? How did you resolve it and prevent it from happening again?

Thanks in advance!

Hi @Chihuahua  Yes, this can happen sometimes even if you’re only using standard flows and broadcasts. Meta may flag “automated behavior” due to messaging patterns, incorrect use of Messenger Message Tags, or account/access issues.

Quick checks:

  • Review account security (2FA, admins/users, and Business Integrations—remove anything you don’t recognize).

  • If this is Messenger, double-check you’re using Message Tags only for approved non-promotional cases.

  • Disable any native auto-replies in Meta Business Suite → Inbox → Automations to avoid duplicate replies.

  • If needed, pause automations/broadcasts briefly to “cool down” and reconnect permissions (especially on IG).

If it continues, contact Meta Support + ManyChat Support with screenshots of the warning. This is how to do it: How to get support from Manychat – Manychat Help

Hope this helps,
