I just set up a free account to see if this will work for me. I was able to add my Instagram account. When I added my Facebook business page it made a whole 2nd account it seems. When I am on the Facebook one I cant seem to send a dm when someone comments a key word like what I can do in Instagram. Is this user error or is it not an option in FB like it is in insta?

As for the 2 accounts, you don’t need 2 and you can have Instagram and Facebook on the same Manychat account.
To add a new channel you need to go to Settings > Then pick the channel (for example Facebook) and follow the instructions there to get connected.
