Hi, We are running a FB Business Page and want to know what is the max amount of messages in DMs we can send out before being flagged?

Example → We create automation flow where ManyChat DMs on Messenger people who post a particular word.

Is there a specific number?

@MichaelVGG you should not have any issues with messages in the DMs - as far as I know you won’t get in trouble for talking to several people.

You do have to be careful if you’re sending public comments replies - this is where there are restrictions.

I don’t have the exact threshold, but for public comments replies, my rule is that if the page has a lot of engagement, we just leave it off and just DM when they reply.

Hope this helps!

So basically I can DM 150 people/hr?
And what if somebody follows my page? Is it the same instance when somebody comments on a post?

@JohnG I’m not sure what the threshold is. But if I have a page that’s near 150/hr then I’d definitely have it turned off - especially if it’s all on the same post.

For me, rather than trying to find the exact threshold and going to the max, it’s about keeping the page safe.
