Follow to DM LIVE with 7 runs / 0 sends – everything verified

Instagram creator account @fer_nogueras, connected to Manychat via the Unified onboarding flow, permissions refreshed today (Meta confirmed "Manage and access messages for the Instagram account").

Everything from the troubleshooting checklist is verified:

  • "Allow access to messages" is enabled under Connected tools, message requests open to "Everyone".
  • The account is linked to the Facebook Page "Fer Nogueras" (ID 1211766582012999), owned by the Business Palmara Group. No connection alerts in Meta Business Suite.
  • No age or country restrictions on the Page.
  • Incoming DMs arrive correctly in the Manychat Inbox, so the connection works.

The "Say hi to new followers" automation is LIVE, shows 7 runs and 0 sends. Tested with fresh accounts that had never followed @fer_nogueras and had not followed any other Manychat account this week, waited more than the 5-minute delay: nothing sent, not even in message requests.

The AI Support Assistant can't escalate to the Support Team on my plan. Could someone from the Manychat team check whether this account is eligible for Follow to DM, or why Meta is rejecting the sends? Happy to share the account email by DM.

Thanks!

Hi @fer_nogueras , it looks like everything checks out on your side, and you already ruled out the once-per-week Meta rule, so this isn't a config issue.

Eligibility for Follow to DM is reviewed by Meta weekly, even after it's live, and can get pulled in a later review with nothing changing visibly in your workspace. That would explain runs without sends. There's also a documented Meta-side bug from earlier this year with this exact symptom (correctly configured, zero delivery), so it's not unheard of.

Since the AI assistant won't escalate on your plan, skip it and open a ticket directly here:
https://help.manychat.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=11756694468892

They'll need to check eligibility and delivery logs on Meta's side, that's not visible from the Community.
