I’m having an issue with ManyChat. I find it a bit disappointing that there’s no proper video tutorial for this, or an option to directly contact support (especially for the price – that really should be available).
I’ve been searching for 4 days now for the right settings to create a follow-up, but I can’t find anything. And honestly, what’s explained here so far doesn’t really answer my question either.
Example:
Person X comments with the “keyword” → Then they receive a message and a link to click… and that’s where the problem starts. I want to set up a follow-up so that they automatically get another message one day later to “check in” with them.
I know this might not sound like a big thing, but it’s frustrating that there’s nothing concrete out there. A tutorial video would help a lot.
I really hope you can help me. If you need any additional info to give me a better answer, please just let me know.

@Robin Hess set the deley less then 24 hours.
I can help you with this.let me know if you are not able to do this.
Hey @Robin Hess
The solution is to add a message block before sending the link because of the 24-hour rule.
User comment X → you send a message like “Hey, click here if you want the link” → you send a second message with the link.
Unfortunately, I don’t fully understand it. The first image, up until after the first DM that User X receives, I got from an online course – and that part works fine.
However, the user should receive a follow-up message after 24 hours (1 day) – that’s apparently how the Meta rules work.
Do you think that should be possible too? The problem is, I tend to overthink things and I’ve only been using Manychat for a few days.
If you take a look at both the first and second image and review the flow – do you think it would work that way? I would really appreciate a clear explanation because, unfortunately, I can’t do much with just the link. I’d be extremely grateful for that.

in the first image, add the message with button before send the link,
Once link will be send, then add deley of 23 hours.
Due to the 24 hours rule, your deley cannot be work if its more then 24 hours.
Hey, @Robin Hess
The 24-hour window is open when the user interact with you on your DM’s.
If you send a message (like your first picture) with a link, everything else is not going to be sent to the user. So, you’ll need to add a message before that to open the 24-hour window.
Hi Guys, we have change the System. Can u check this please? @rodrigo_silvano @Aafia Umair
Thanks for your help.

WE HAVE CHANGE ALL DELAYS FROM DAYS TO HOURS, is it Correkt?
Best Greets
Hey, @Robin Hess
The first and second messages blocks seems correct!
Regarding the smart delays, you can’t add a 48h delay on Instagram because Meta doesn’t allow us to send messages outside the 24-hour window.
Example:
The user click the button at 13h30 on August 10, you have until 13h29 on August 11 to send messages.
On Telegram, WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger you can send message outside the 24-hour window, but not on Instagram.
Hey @rodrigo_silvano so i must change the all Timer to 23 Hours right?
Yes, @Robin Hess! Unfortunately, Meta doesn’t allow sending messages after 24 hours of the last user interaction
Okay, it’s annoying, but we’ll just have to deal with it. @rodrigo_silvano
So, just to recap: the way it’s set up now is correct (I’ve set all delays to 23h). If there’s no reaction within 24 hours, Meta will block it as well.
What’s important for me is that when user XYZ comments, they get a follow-up within 24h. If they respond but don’t take the next step, they get another follow-up — and all of this happens via Instagram.
This should work as planned now, correct?
@Robin Hess correct!
After the user interact with you through your automation, you can send as many messages as you like (attention to not spam).
dqSPerfect @rodrigo_silvano So yesterday, a user send me a DM because the Manychat send 2 Message to follow up.. I think the one of the Delays are the Problem. But which?

We think we have to much delays?
@Robin Hess Which 2 messages were sent?
Looking at the images, everything looks good.
Hey @rodrigo_silvano Look a this User, he got the first Follow Up Message two times… maybe about the 4 Delayss?
Hey, @Robin Hess
It seems that the user clicked twice on the report link.
