Hello! I have been struggling to get Manychat data to pull into Zapier and am just not sure what to do next. Here is a quick Loom walking you through an example of how I have Manychat set up and the data that I’m trying to collect and then the errored runs on Zapier. I know that there is a disconnect and I can’t seem to figure it out! Thank you so much in advance!

The “New subscriber” trigger won't work, because Manychat creates the subscriber at the moment a user starts a conversation. In your case, this means that Manychat creates the user with its Instagram account and without email. Therefore, Zapier will be triggered without any email info.

 

For the “Custom Field” trigger… it should work. But try renaming your Custom User Field to something different… it will be more “user friendly”.

 

Zapier's native integration for Manychat is kind of limited on fields it receives. Lets make some adjustments!

  • In your Data Collection, also set to save the email to System Field:
    This is the field you will be able to use in Zapier

     

  • Now, for the action, set your collected email (System Field) to your User Custom Field:

     

That's it in Manychat. This will save the informed email into the System Field and the Action will duplicate it to the Custom Field.

 

Now in Zapier:

  • Configure your trigger with the right Custom Field:

     

  • And map it to Flodesk using the "User Email” field:

     

 

I've tested it sending info to a Google Sheets and it worked. 😉
