Help Needed: Connecting Comment Triggers to Existing DM Automation

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a bit of support inside ManyChat.

I’ve already set up an automation where someone DMs me a specific keyword and it triggers my paid guide flow. That part works perfectly.

What I now need help with is this:

I want people to be able to comment the same keyword on my posts, reels, and reply to my stories — and have that send them into the exact same automation flow.

I understand that comment triggers need to be set up separately and can’t live inside the same automation as the DM keyword trigger. I’m just unsure of the cleanest way to structure this so everything feeds into the same system without duplicating flows or breaking anything.

It’s likely just one or two structural changes, but I’d prefer someone experienced to either consult or set it up properly for me.

    It is possible to do so using the same automation. The only thing you need to set, is the first message block to comply with Meta rules.

    When you set an automation to DM or stories, you can send the automation straight away. However, using the trigger reply to a comment on a post/reel, you’ll need to add a message block right after the trigger to be able to unlock the 24-hour window.

    Set the first message block to send as “private reply”. The message can only have text and a button/quick reply.

     

    So, your automation should look like this:
