With Manychat can I only start a whatsapp conversation with a template?

@Sule yes, business-initiated messages (ie your Manychat account sends the first message) can only be done through templates.

@Gustavo Boregio If it's not possible to acquire contact image I suggest you to hide the avatar. It hides important infos like custom fields below. 

Other suggestion is to include a custom field as a link. When you click it it opens a new tab. This would be useful in my case.
