I have set up an automation where people wil comment on a post to get a DM, how do I then send a follow up message to these people 5-7 days later to see how they found my resource?

Your flow should be something like this:
Please note that on Instagram, you’re unable to send a follow-up outside the 24-hour window due to Meta limitations.
