How do I subscribe profile to Opt In Email Marketing in Klaviyo?

How do I subscribe profile to Opt In Email Marketing in Klaviyo?  I've tried using the Klaviyo Action, creating webhooks, and nothing is working. Profile in Klaviyo does import and is added to a list but it says "Email Never subscribed". Please help!

Did you try disabling double opt in for your Klaviyo list?

Yep still doesn't properly opt them in.  see image. Using Zaps for now but I’d rather not. Seems so unnecessary!

It does take the email, share it with Klaviyo, adds them to a list, I CAN email them, but there is an alert saying they are not properly subscribed to receive emails.

Check your Klaviyo settings, specifically the settings for the list you're adding users to.

Make sure that Single Opt In is set (and not double opt in like the picture). This usually solves it for me.

It’s an API issue.

Klaviyo is currently deprecating its old API and transitioning to the new one. Unfortunately, these changes have affected our integration, as it doesn't support the new Klaviyo API yet. 

 

Our developers are already aware of the issue, and we are working on updating our integration. Sadly, for now, there's no ETA for the delivery of the fix.  

 

As a workaround, you may connect to Klavio directly through API using the External Request feature or third-party services such as Zapier or Make.

I have the same issue, and I have Single opt-in. 

Did you solve it?

Hey man I just ditched doing my “forms” to gather info and subs in many chat.  I simply send the link to my Klaviyo  form embedded on my website.

@Manychat any update on this? Seems like a standard feature that I would like to see given some priority. ​@Gustavo Boregio Do you have the lowdown? After our session together (great BTW) this is the one crux that is holding me back. Zapier seems like such a faff around to get this simple problem solved. DO you have steps for Zapier integration?

FYI to anyone stumbling upon this, I’ve been told by ManyChat that the way to get this update to happen is to raise the issue loudly in this community setting. It’s most helpful to upvote any of these Klavio posts to show their team that this is an issue bothering users.

Hello. As of today, this is still an issue for me. I have followed all the steps for the integration and single opt-in yet emails are still appearing in Klayvio as `never subscribed`. Have folks found a solution? Thanks.

Hey guys, Manychat updated the Klaviyo integration a while ago and this is now working!

Check the ‘Troubleshooting’ section in particular to solve this issue of ‘Never Subscribed’.

Thanks Gustavo for you reply. I’ve followed the steps. I am still having emails push into Klayvio via Manychat as “Never Subscribed”. 😕
