Hello,

I have hundreds of people that engaged with my content and automation but didn’t buy my product. I want to reach out and offer other things. What’s the best way to use all these contacts I have inside manychat? Any best practice? Articles, videos on how to do this? I appreciate your responses.

thanks

Hi @Alain Martinez - which platform is this for? And what is your goal of the automations and how is that set-up - are you bringing them into the DMs and then sending an external link to buy?

Essentially, with FB and IG you only have 24 hours in which to engage them before the window of compliance closes. So you need to try to achieve that goal within that 24 hour window.

If this is FB, you also have the option of Marketing Messages that will help you reach those contacts outside of the 24 hour window. There have been some recent changes to this functionality, which is on a rollout and is also location dependent. More info here: https://help.manychat.com/hc/en-us/articles/24351480518684-Marketing-Messages-on-Messenger

Essentially, if you are sending them to an external link, I would then tag that link (EG “clicked web link”), then use a smart delay and a condition to then send a further message, within that 24hr window, to follow up if they DID click the link - and maybe offer an alternative if they say they didn’t buy, or send them a reminder to click if they didn’t already.

Hi @Mel E, this is meant for IG to opt in via a comment key word and then take them to a website.  I have over 1600 people that opted in and commented the key word.  They are tagged in various ways, but more than 90% of them didn’t buy or clicked on the final link of the manychat automation.  they are just sitting there.  How can I leverage those leads? Any best practices?

@Alain Martinez - I would look to tag the button that they click to send them to your website, and then use a Smart Delay of, say a couple of hours, or whatever window works for you. Then add a condition to check for that tag, then send them a message that fits on whether they clicked or not. A bit like the set-up below. Once they’ve fallen out of the 24 hr window though there’s not much you can do with those contacts, unless they opt in again via another keyword.

For this reason, I would always advise, if possible, to get them on to your email list, or SMS if using, as you can re-engage there more easily. You could, if it suited, offer them a discount, in return for their email address. ie they come in, you ask if they’d like a discount, use the Data Collection node to gather their name and email, link this to your CRM via Zapier or Make, and then give them the discount code and direct website link in the DMs, and back it up with a confirmation email. Hope that helps?
