How to properly update our login email?

I’ve successfully updated the email we use to login from a former teammate to mine. However, Manychat is not allowing me to login with my email. I’m still forced to login using the previous email and we haven’t been able to deactivate that email because of this situation. How can I troubleshoot this?

I had a similar issue some weeks ago. You need to open a ticket and report it to support.

Thank you, Rodrigo! Unfortunately, I got told the Google sign-in option cannot be updated. My only option right now is to add another sign-in option which I did (I added Facebook as the sign-in but I’m not too fond of this)

The most direct way to resolve this is by transferring the workspace ownership to your new email.

Here is what you need to do:

  • Create a new account using the new email address you want to use.

  • Invite the new account as an Admin to the workspace (while logged in with the old email).

  • Transfer the Owner role to your new account.

Once your new account is successfully set as the Owner, you can safely remove or delete the old account from the team list without losing any of your data or configurations. 😉
