How to send new message IN ADDITION to open website on button click?
Hi, I’ve been serching for a good while without finding the answer to this question. How do I set up this kind of automation: Instagram comment ---→ comment reply message with button ----→ same button click both trigger a website to open AND trigger the sending of a follow-up message I’ve tried to experiment with the “addition action” opt-in alternative - but with no success.
Very grateful for help!
All the best,
Siri

Hey, @Siri.k
You can do it this way:
When someone click the button → add a tag “button was clicked” (or other tag name of your preference) → Add a smart delay (if you don’t want to send the follow up message right away → Send your follow up message.
I hope this help!
Thank you so much Rodrigo for taking the time to reply!!
I tried your solution (but without the smart delay, since I actually want it to be sent at once), but unfortunately it didn’t seem to work ♀️ Is the “smart delay needed for it to work?
Tried to mark Send message #2 both as “comment reply” and “send within 24 h” but neither worked.
Hi @Siri.k
pls try the option described earlier by @Fabio Gaulke
Triggers
Welcome message (set as Comment Reply) - I tend to send something to engage the contact - In this example I used a Quick Reply to maintain the same layout as a common message (but you can use buttons as well)
Next message block - Here you can set what you want to send to the contact after the contacts interacts with the first message
OPTIONAL: Set an Action to tag the contacts that click the button
Smart Delay - Here it is connected not on the button, but at the previous step. This means that even if the contact doesn't click on the button, it will continue after the time set.
Next messages...
you can skip smart delay and connect second msg with third one
Yeeeyyy, thank you @Gosia and @rodrigo_silvano - with a combination of you solutions I finally made it work! It was as @Fabio Gaulke said in his original solution - that I needed to have a quich reply instead of a button in the first message to make the automation start properly (a bug for ManyChat to look into!). This is my final flow that works neatly, and only sends the next message when/if the button is pressed:
