I used to be able to just send the link and now its making me send an opening dm first. Can I disable that?

Manychat has now a new type of automation (Quick Automation) and I'm pretty sure that's what you're trying to use instead of the “classic” Post/Reel automation…

The new “Quick Automation” appears first on the template list (1). But you still can use the classic method by selecting the old template (2) or even start from scratch (3) and select the classic Post/Reel Comment Trigger.
