My ManyChat is connected to WhatsApp api number, and Facebook, but when I am running the engagement app, the destination to message. Yet unable to connect partner app. It is showing the JSON method, which is not available in Manychat.

If you’re running a Click-to-WhatsApp (CTWA) engagement ad but can’t connect via the partner app and only see the JSON method, you can do it manually in ManyChat:

1️⃣ Copy your Facebook Ad ID

  • In Ads Manager, open your ad and copy the Ad ID from the top right

2️⃣ Copy your Message Template (Autofill Message)

  • This is the pre-filled message you set in the ad (e.g., “Hi, I’m interested in…”).

3️⃣ Set Triggers in ManyChat

  • Go to Automation → Triggers in ManyChat

  • Add trigger “User clicks CTWA Ad” → paste your Facebook Ad ID

  • Add trigger “User sends a message” → select Message Template and paste the pre-filled text

4️⃣ Link to Your Flow

  • Connect these triggers to the flow you want users to enter when they click your ad and send the first message

This way, you bypass the JSON method and still capture leads from your CTWA ads directly into ManyChat.
