I’m experiencing exactly the same issue.

Deleting contacts does not seem to reduce the active contacts used for billing at all.

I’m currently on the Pro plan and trying to stay under the 2500 contact limit by removing contacts. However, even after deleting them, the number shown in the billing section does not change.

I’ve also created a separate post about this and I’m waiting for a clear answer.

This is quite confusing because almost all information online (blogs, YouTube videos, tutorials) suggests that deleting contacts should reduce the billing count.

I would really appreciate an official clarification from the ManyChat team on this.

ManyChat bills based on "active contacts" anyone who interacted with your account during the current billing cycle. Deleting them mid-cycle won't reduce the count because they already interacted that month. The count resets when your next billing cycle starts, and only contacts who interact again will count toward the new cycle. On the Free plan, deleted contacts still  count toward billing regardless. It's confusing because their docs don't make this obvious.

Hi @malaicanangia, please create a support ticket if you haven’t following the steps here so our team can help troubleshoot the issue you are facing.

@yatirimlikevler thank you once again for your feedback, the change has been recently put in place hence the content available on social platforms doesn’t reflect the updated pricing. Please be assured that we’re actively working on this.
