Hello to ANYONE who can help!

THIS IS LONG, BUT PLEASE READ!

I’m so frustrated, I’ve been paying for Manychat for months, while it hasn’t been working. I haven’t had any success with the support either. It has taken forever for a support to get back to me via email, and I’ve spent hours on the chatbot doing the same thing over and over again that it suggests with NO success.

I’ve almost given up on Manychat and hooked up my Stan Store auto DM to respond to my comments on IG this last 2 weeks, which worked fine too up til yesterday, when even those would not reply to the IG comment, but would still send my product to their DM. The problem is the customer doesn’t know it is in there or to check their “message request” for it, so I’ve had to go back into each individual comment and tell them to look there. My content and comments are popping off and I don’t have time to do that and am losing a ton of business with it.

I know ManyChat is the best option IF I can get it to work again, but I am so frustrated!

I have several flows and they used to work, but don’t any longer. I have contacted META and all they say is they don’t recommend a 3rd party automation, even though ManyChat is a partner. So, they are no help either.

Is there anyone here that could spend a little bit of time walking me through what I should be doing, because I kind of think it is a connection issue with IG because now my Stan automation is only half working too. I stopped my main automation message from Manychat, so that Stan could respond to it as well. I’m not sure that this was necessary, but I did it anyway.

I am wondering if I should delete EVERYTHING and start completely over starting with connecting Manychat to IG to begin with.

PLEASE HELP!!!

Thank you!

Tara

Hey Tara, do NOT delete everything. You'd nuke all your subscribers and flows for nothing, this isn't on your end.

What's actually happening: Meta's webhook subscriptions to ManyChat have been dropping intermittently the last couple weeks. Multiple people in this forum and on Threads are seeing the exact same thing. That's also why your Stan Store automation is half broken, both tools rely on the same Meta webhook pipe.

Try this first, in order:
1. ManyChat → Settings → Instagram → hit "Refresh Permissions" (their own help text says do this first when content isn't sending)

2. Wait a few minutes, post a test comment with your trigger word from a different account, see if it fires

3. If still broken, hit "Change Instagram Connection" and reconnect via Meta for Business (the second option, not IG OAuth). That forces a clean re-handshake with Meta and usually clears stuck webhooks

4. Last resort only: "Remove Instagram Account" and add it back fresh. This DOES wipe your subscriber list, so only do this if 1-3 fail

Don't reconnect to a new flow setup, your existing flows will pick right back up once the webhook is healthy again.

Also worth knowing: Meta isn't lying when they say they don't recommend 3rd party automation, but they do approve partners (ManyChat is one). The flakiness you're seeing is on the webhook delivery layer between Meta and the partner, not the partnership itself.

Try 1-3 and report back, I'll help you troubleshoot from there
