Hi… just signed up for Manychat and getting a little frustrated. I have the automations set up and seem to work but the first problem that I’m running into is that the Trigger is not auto-responding to the Instagram comment.
So, when a user comments “story”, I just see their reply. However, my understanding was that the trigger should have auto-commented an answer to their reply. I have an IG Professional account and also see that Manychat is connected.
So, not sure what is going on.

IG Comment Responses not working
Most likely you're testing from the account that owns the Page. Instagram won't fire comment automation on your own comment, so nothing happens and there's no error to see. Test it with a second account that isn't an admin of the Page.
Two other things worth a look:
1. The automation has to be set live, not saved as a draft. A saved-but-inactive automation looks finished in the builder and does nothing.
2. Check the automation is watching the post you're commenting on. If it's scoped to a specific post or to "next post", comments on anything else won't match.
Also, by default it only fires once per person per post, so if you tested a few times from the same account only the first one would have counted.
