Initial Automation

ManyChat will not automatically re-trigger old conversations just because someone interacted in the past. However, if someone performs a new trigger action (for example, commenting again with the keyword), the automation can start again depending on how your flow is set up.

To avoid messaging people who have already been helped, my recommendation is to add a tag after they receive the automation (for example: “Already Responded” or “Lead Processed”). Then, at the beginning of your flow, add a condition to check if that tag already exists. If the user has the tag, you can skip the automation or send them down a different path.

This is the cleanest way to prevent duplicate responses 😊
