Hello @Luke ,
You are already using a more flexible option, which is “Message contains.” It works as follows: for example, if the keyword is set as “Hello” and someone sends the message “Hello, please send me more information,” the automated message will still be triggered.
However, if you set the trigger as something like “I want to buy,” and the contact only types part of it, such as “I will buy,” the automation will not be sent, because it requires the exact term “I want to buy” to work.
The best approach is to add variations, including possible misspellings in the triggers, anticipating mistakes that the user may type.
In this Manychat help article, you can better understand how keywords work:
https://help.manychat.com/hc/en-us/articles/14281211785884-How-to-use-Keywords-Trigger-in-Manychat#h_01JDSVYG6SP6HKB564DEY3BPZA
If you have already confirmed that it is really not working, you can try updating the permissions by going to “Settings > click on the Instagram channel > click on the ‘Update permissions’ button.”
And if it still doesn’t work, you can contact the Manychat support team so they can check what is happening. At the end of the article I shared above, you will find a link to contact support.
