I’ve been using Manychat for several years and suddenly ran into a strange issue this week.

I have an automation set up where anyone who comments a specific keyword on a specific Instagram post should receive a DM with a link. It used to work perfectly — but now it only works on Facebook, not on Instagram.

Here’s what I’ve already checked and tried:

• I’ve refreshed permissions (both in Manychat and Meta Business).

• My IG account is a professional (business) account.

• I’ve gone through all settings on both Instagram and Manychat and refreshed everything that can be refreshed.

• I even deleted my old automation (which worked great for months) and created a new one for a specific post — but it still doesn’t trigger.

• I also tested with new users, tried DMs, Story replies, and sending the keyword manually — nothing works.

Interestingly, I’ve had two clients experience the same issue last month: Manychat suddenly stopped working on Instagram for them too.

Has anyone else experienced this recently?
Could there be a temporary API or permission issue on Meta’s end that affects IG automations?

Any insights or fixes would be super appreciated! 🩷✨
