Instagram Comment to DM Automation Not Working (Free Plan)

Hi everyone,

I'm currently using the free plan of ManyChat and have connected my Instagram account properly.

I recently posted a reel on Instagram and set up a Comment to DM automation (consisting of only 1 keyword). The idea is that if someone comments a specific keyword, they should receive a DM automatically. Please refer to the screenshots below:

 

 

However, the automation doesn't seem to be working. Here's what I've tried so far:

  • Removed and reconnected my Instagram account

  • Refreshed all permissions in ManyChat

Still, nothing works.

Also, something strange is happening. When someone comments just the keyword, I can see that the post has more comments (the number increases), but when I check the actual comments, they don’t show up. It looks like there are no comments even though the count has gone up. Please refer to the screenshots below:

Can someone help me figure out:

  1. Why the automation isn’t triggering?

  2. Why the comments are hidden when the keyword is used alone?

    Have you tried to change the keyword?

    Regarding the hidden comments, it’s on Meta’s side.
