Instagram Comment-to-DM Not Triggering — 0 Executions

Hi, I need help with an Instagram Comment-to-DM automation for @paljapick.

The automation is Live, but it never triggers and continues to show 0 executions.

Here is what I have already checked:

  • Instagram account is a Creator professional account
  • Manychat connection type is New Enhanced Connection
  • Instagram account @paljapick is correctly selected
  • Meta permissions include Manage comments and Manage and access messages
  • Manychat permissions have been successfully refreshed and saved
  • Automation trigger is User comments on your Post or Reel
  • A specific Reel is selected
  • Trigger is set to Any comment
  • Opening DM is enabled
  • Automation is Live
  • I tested using a completely different Instagram account that had never commented on that Reel before
  • The comment appeared normally on Instagram, but no DM was sent
  • Manychat still shows 0 executions

I also followed the troubleshooting steps provided by the Manychat AI Support Assistant.

Could someone please check whether Instagram comment webhook events are actually being received by Manychat for @paljapick, or whether there is an account connection/subscription issue?

    Hi ​@박승용, solid checklist, you've already covered the usual suspects.

    Two things not on your list: in the Instagram app itself, check Settings and activity → Messages and story replies → Message controls → Connected tools → Allow access to messages, that's separate from the Meta permissions you already granted. Also confirm the Reel is published solely from @paljapick and not a collaborative post, Comment-to-DM only fires on the connecting account's own version.

    Thank you. I checked both points.

    1. The Reel was posted directly from the @paljapick account. It is not a Collab post.
    2. In the Instagram mobile app, under Messages and story replies → Message controls, there is no “Connected tools” or “Allow access to messages” option available for this account.

    The automation is still Live and shows 0 executions even after testing with a different Instagram account.

    Could you please advise how I can verify the comment webhook/account-level connection, since the “Connected tools” setting is not available in my Instagram app?
