Instagram Comment Trigger Not Firing After Complete Reconnection – @moneylife_lee

MoneyLife

Hi ManyChat Community,

I’m experiencing an Instagram comment trigger issue with @moneylife_lee that I have been unable to resolve after extensive troubleshooting.

The problem is simple:
Instagram comments are not triggering ManyChat at all. No DM is sent, and the automation shows no execution.

Today I performed a COMPLETE reset:

1. Completely removed the Instagram channel from ManyChat.
2. Removed ManyChat from Facebook → Settings → Business Integrations.
3. Reconnected @moneylife_lee to ManyChat from scratch using “Connect through Meta.”
4. Confirmed the correct Business Portfolio and Instagram account.
5. During the new Meta authorization, confirmed permissions for:
   - Business management
   - Instagram profile/posts access
   - Instagram comment management
   - Instagram Insights
   - Instagram message management/access
   - Meta event logging
6. The new connection completed successfully.

I then created a completely NEW automation from scratch instead of reusing the old one.

TEST:
- Selected a public Instagram post that had not been used for the automation before.
- Trigger keyword: 테스트
- First DM: 연결 테스트 성공
- Automation was published and LIVE.
- A separate Instagram account that had never commented on that post submitted the exact keyword “테스트”.

RESULT:
- No DM.
- No trigger execution.

Before the complete reset, I had also already confirmed:
- @moneylife_lee is a Professional Instagram account.
- Instagram “Allow access to messages” is ON.
- The Facebook Page “머니라이프” is connected to @moneylife_lee.
- Facebook Page access to Instagram messages is ON.
- Comment and message permissions were enabled in Meta Business Integrations.
- ManyChat permissions were refreshed multiple times.
- Multiple posts and first-time comments were tested.

One unusual detail:
Facebook Page → Advanced Messaging → Connected Apps previously showed “Littly-IG”, but ManyChat was not listed. Meta Business Suite Conversation Routing also appeared empty/unavailable.

After all of this, I completely removed both the ManyChat Instagram connection and the Meta Business Integration and created a fresh connection, but the same problem still occurs.

The ManyChat AI Support Assistant has now also concluded that this likely requires deeper technical/support-side investigation.

Could a ManyChat team member please help verify whether:

1. @moneylife_lee is correctly subscribed to Instagram comment webhook/events.
2. The Meta app registration/subscription for this Instagram account is healthy.
3. There is any Conversation Routing, webhook, token, or account-level issue.
4. The latest connection logs show comment events reaching ManyChat.

The fresh test automation is currently still LIVE so it can be inspected.

Thank you.

That is very complex issue, I think you should open a ticket in Manychat Help Center.

Hi @MoneyLife  thanks for documenting everything so clearly, it makes this much easier to follow. You've already covered what can be checked from the Community side, so I agree with @MarcosMascarenhas , this needs Support to look at the webhook subscription and logs on their end.

If you haven't opened a ticket yet, you can do it directly here:
https://help.manychat.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=11756694468892

I'd paste this same post there, it already has everything they'll ask for.

One detail I'd mention specifically in the ticket is the Littly-IG app you saw in Connected Apps. When another app is connected to the same account it can sometimes interfere with how events reach ManyChat, so it's worth checking if it's still there and removing it if you're not using it. I can't confirm that's the cause, but it's the detail that stands out.

Cheers
