Instagram new follower automation stopped working suddenly

My “say hi to new followers” automation was working great for about a week, a few thousand sends with a good CTR. But suddenly it dropped to zero sends and I have gotten about 2000 followers with no messages sent. I tried deleting and re-creating the automation but still won’t send messages. Credentials look good and I have made no recent changes to my account.

This is happening to me as well. It just suddenly stopped working, precisely the moment one of my videos went viral 😠. Other automations are working, it’s just the “say hi to new followers” that isn’t, no matter what I try.

Yeah its ridiculous as this is the primary way I am driving link visits and I’m missing out on impressions now, someone from ManyChat needs to step in and fix this

Hello ​@Asa Longino I am sorry to hear it stop working 😕. As you might know this is a new feature, so I think Meta is checking on this issues. However I recomend you to contact Manychat support team through the Help Center  https://help.manychat.com/hc/en-us    to see if they can help you.

In addition, remember first to “Refresh Permissions” to refresh  conection between IG and Manychat. You can find a here a guide on how to do it https://help.manychat.com/hc/en-us/articles/14281464342684-Refresh-permissions

Facing same issue, I tried multiple deleting, reconfiguring, refreshing permissions, nothing worked. So I tried getting into contact with manychat support team, and they said this issue was happening with lots of theirs customers, and already escalated. But still, no further responses. 2-3 days since last response, but hey, Christimas was in between, so not judging that much. Hopefully first week of January this is solved?

I finally got in touch with someone from manychat about this, here's the reply:

 

At the moment, the behavior you’re experiencing appears to be related to an issue on Meta’s side that is affecting the Follow to DM functionality. Our team has already identified this behavior and escalated it, and we’re currently working closely with Meta while they investigate the root cause.

 

The investigation is ongoing, and as soon as we receive any updates or confirmation of changes on their end, we’ll reach out to you right away here. For now, there’s no additional action needed on your end.

 

*It's been almost 2 weeks now

I’ve had this same issue for about a month. I’ve tried digging up any possible fix. I’ve reset permissions, reconnected Manychat integration to Meta, and nothing.

I’ve worked social media in big companies and have had a direct Meta rep before, and even with that level of communication, Meta has always been notoriously bad at fixing things like this quickly. Unfortunately, it seems we’ll have to wait until Meta gets to Manychat’s ticket, which, who knows how long that will be.

It’s a shame because this is one of the core features that I use with Manychat, and they’re at the mercy of Meta here.

 

Hopefully it gets fixed sooner than later! 🤞

Has anyone gotten this to work??? This is a huge reason why I use many chat and this just suddenly stopped working? Now I have to explain to my clients why. This isn’t good
