Has anyone hit this combination? I'm stuck and support (ticket #535536) hasn't resolved it yet.
SETUP
- Instagram @ironmanager, Pro plan
- Connected to Facebook Page "Fran IronManager" (confirmed in Meta Business Suite, status Connected; I'm Page admin)
- Connection type: Instagram OAuth (NOT Meta for Business)
SYMPTOM 1 — No Instagram trigger fires
Nothing triggers on any Instagram event. Story Replies: nothing. Comment keywords: nothing. Account-wide, not one flow. I found out building a new automation, then confirmed my older automations have been silently dead for weeks too.
Tested properly: published a Story, replied via DM from a SEPARATE account (not the page owner), reduced the flow delay. No message ever arrives. Flow is LIVE, trigger is All Stories + "Reply Contains Any Words Or Reaction", toggle on.
SYMPTOM 2 — Can't re-authorise: "Connect Via Meta" is broken
Either the OAuth step returns "Invalid Request: Invalid redirect URI", or it lands on a business.facebook.com login page that offers ONLY "Continue with Instagram" (no Facebook login), which then rejects the account with "You can't log in with this Instagram account."
WHAT I'VE ALREADY RULED OUT
- "Allow access to messages" is ON in Instagram settings
- IG correctly linked to the right Page, I'm admin
- Incognito window (so: no cookies, no cache)
- Cleared cookies/cache in a normal window too
- Single Facebook session as Page admin
- "Use another profile" in the IG login screen
- Refresh Instagram Permissions — no effect
- "See More Options / Meta Business Suite": THIS OPTION DOESN'T EXIST in my panel. I only see the blue "Connect Via Meta" button, no alternatives.
MY READ
My settings say "You're currently connected via Instagram OAuth. To unlock the full feature set, connect through Meta for Business instead", and "Say hi to new followers" shows as unavailable — needs permissions. So it looks like my OAuth token is missing the messaging scopes, which would explain why no webhook reaches ManyChat. But I can't upgrade to the full Meta connection because that flow dies on "Invalid redirect URI" — which looks like a redirect-URI mismatch in the ManyChat Meta app, i.e. server-side, nothing I can change.
TWO QUESTIONS FOR THE COMMUNITY
1. Has anyone with an Instagram OAuth connection recovered from "Invalid redirect URI" on Connect Via Meta? How?
2. Is there any way to force the Meta for Business connection when the panel only shows "Connect Via Meta" and no "See More Options"?
