Hello everyone, I noticed that this is a very recent problem.

Since yesterday, the messages I send via the Instagram app haven't been received via webhook, so they don't appear in Manychat. On manychat i can only see the messages I send via Manychat. Is this problem specific to me? Does everyone else have this problem?

Edit: Everything fine with inbound messages, the issue specific for outbound messages.

Hi everyone, I’m experiencing the exact same issue.

Since a few days ago, the messages I send via the Instagram app are no longer showing up in ManyChat. I can still see client messages coming in, and everything I send directly from ManyChat works fine, but anything sent from the Instagram app by me or my team doesn’t appear in the conversation anymore.

Has anyone found a solution or heard if this is a recent change on Meta’s side? Any workaround to get outgoing Instagram messages to sync back to ManyChat?

Thanks in advance!

Hey, @manychathelpuser22

I’ve never experienced that before.
Did you try to refresh your permissions and the connection between your Facebook and Manychat?

I’ve tried everything: I updated the permissions, deactivated the channel and reactivated it. I also went to Instagram and removed the permissions, then re-granted them; on Facebook, I deleted the connection with ManyChat and set it up again. Nothing works — the issue persists.
I’m managing several accounts, and this is only happening with 2 of them. Out of the 5 accounts I manage, the permissions are configured exactly the same as the ones that work.

Previously, Instagram messages were displayed as being sent by a bot, but they have now stopped appearing. It seems as if the API has stopped working, specifically for messages sent by the Instagram user to ManyChat.

Yaaay! It’s fixed now!!! It must have been something that went into production in a release, because it resolved itself without us doing anything.
