Instagram Story Reply automation shows 0 sends despite correct setup

Here’s everything I’ve already checked and confirmed correct:

 

• Automation status: Live

• Trigger: set to “any story” (not a specific story)

• Keyword: “Moi” under “specific words or reactions”

• Instagram connection in Manychat: shows “Connected”

• Instagram account type: Professional (Business)

• Instagram story reply settings: open to everyone (not restricted to followers)

• 3 different people replied “Moi” directly to my story (typed message, not just a like/reaction)

• Preview mode confirms the trigger logic is correctly set to “any story”

 

I’m on the Free plan. Could this be related to a plan limitation (like the Instagram Send Message step, or a contact limit)? Or is this a known bug?

Any help would be really appreciated, I’ve been stuck on this for a while. Thanks

      The Story Reply trigger only works when someone sends a direct reply or reaction to the Story. Story likes and comments don’t trigger it.

      Since you’re using a keyword, test by replying directly to the Story with exactly “Moi” from another account. Also confirm that the next Instagram message is set to “Send within 24 hours” and that the automation was updated after the trigger was configured.

      If that still produces 0 sends, refresh the Instagram permissions and contact support, as the event may not be reaching the workspace.
