I have seen repeated reports & questions regarding buttons not sending / quick replies not working - going as far back as 1y ago. No Manychat support provided other than some vague “reset your permissions” or send link without buttons (not great of you are trying to get emails in platform and have advanced automations with follow ups).

Does anyone actually have a plausible explanation and suggested fix? I personally suspect the devices playing a role as Iphone seems to have the most success. 

Given that Android is far more common globally, you’d think this ranks a bit higher in terms of finding a solution?

I'm using Manychat since 2018 and also see this issue happening since always. From my perspective, this seems to be more related to Meta's side. They have a long history of simply push updates and changes without letting any service provider be aware of that. 😅 And this isn't exclusive for Manychat… Many other tools suffer from the same pain.

 

I manage more accounts, and this button issue happens sometimes, but just for individual accounts (yes, there were also episodes that Meta had bugs and nothing worked). Resetting permissions, removing and adding the channel again in Manychat tends to work. That the origin to the recommendations when this happens.

 

Then we also have people with hundreds of phones with outdated Apps and Operations Systems (Android/ iOS).

Sadly, there are so many variables that it's impossible to prevent it a 100%.

 

What I just do when this happens is:

  • Check permissions
  • Check if Meta Business Suite is “ok”
  • Check https://status.manychat.com/ for any instability 
  • Remove and add the channel again (but this deletes that channel contacts in Manychat)
  • Change from buttons to quick replies and vice versa
