Hi ,

I'm running into an issue after disconnecting and reconnecting my WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) to Manychat. Here’s what happened:

  • I originally had my WhatsApp number connected to Manychat and everything was working fine.

  • The WABA was verified and connected to a shared credit line in Meta Business Manager.

  • Recently, I had to delete and reconnect the WhatsApp integration inside Manychat.

  • After doing that, Manychat seems to have created a new WABA instance, and now:

    • I see “Access removed” next to the original credit line in Business Manager.

    • I can’t select the original credit line or ad account during the reconnection flow.

    • Can´t connect again my whatsapp with coexistence.

I want to restore the connection to the original WABA, or at least reassign the original credit line to the current integration. But so far I haven’t found a way to do this from the Meta interface or Manychat settings.

Has anyone dealt with this before?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi, @psicocentro!

In order to connect your number via Coexistence, you'll need to delete/remove the anterior WABA from your BM and also connect your number to a WhatsApp Business App in any smartphone.

After that you should be able to reconnect it with Manychat as Coexistence.

And if removing the WABA/Number from your BM isn't working, here is an unorthodox tip: Connect your number to a NON BUSINESS WhatsApp App in any smartphone. Once you connect the number as a personal one, Meta will remove any WABA or business connection it has. After that, wait about 10min, connect the same number to a WhatsApp Business App and proceed to connect it via Coexistence with manychat.

Hope this helps!

The thing is the Line of Credit seems to be an issue as it has the access removed but is still on the MB

I had similar issues with some clients… In that cases, what worked in the end was disconnect it from Manychat and also delete the whole WhatsApp Account in the Business Manager. After that, reconnecting it from scratch with Manychat worked fine.

Hello Fabio! What about if I want to connect to another business partner different that ManyChat? I am trying and it does not let me. It seems I am still stuck to ManyChat. Any idea?

Thanks!

You need to disable the two-factor authentication for your number at your WABA: https://business.facebook.com/latest/whatsapp_manager/phone_numbers

After that, it should be possible to remove Manychat as partner at https://business.facebook.com/latest/settings/whatsapp_account
