issue with my Instagram Follow-to-DM automation.

Hello ManyChat Community,

I’m having an issue with my Instagram Follow-to-DM automation. i have created a new account.

The automation “Say hi to new followers” has been LIVE for about 45–60 minutes, and I have received several new Instagram followers during that time. However, the automation still shows:

  • Runs: 0
  • Sends: 0

I also tested it with another Instagram account that had not followed my account before, but the automation was not triggered.

I have already checked the following:

  • My Instagram account is a Professional account
  • “Allow access to messages” is enabled in Instagram
  • My Instagram account is connected via the new Instagram API
  • I refreshed the Instagram permissions in ManyChat
  • The permissions screen shows access to Instagram messages, comments, insights, profile/posts, etc.
  • Regular Instagram DMs are successfully appearing in the ManyChat Inbox / All Chats

So the Instagram connection itself appears to be working, but new follower events are not triggering the Follow-to-DM automation.

    Also, there is a known issue on Meta’s side regarding this Beta feature:
