Hello, I’m Brazilian and I speak Portuguese. I’m experiencing a problem with the contact limit. It says I can have up to 1,000 contacts, but it also shows that I already have 1,475 contacts. However, I have already deleted all contacts from the list, and the number still remains the same.
What should I do?

To be able to remove contacts completely you need to be in a paid plan.

Yes you can. Go to contacts > Select the contacts you want to delete, then Bulk Actions > Delete
Yes I have done this but am still getting the message that my contacts are at the limit even though when I click on contacts they are 0.

Not working still and has stopped working as over limit. Manychats is trying to charge me, even though I dont want these contacts.. very frustrating as I have spent so much time and energy trying to sort this out. I’ve even paid someone to help me sort it out but no success.. response from Manychat support.
Has anyone had success deleting contacts or is it just me?

For now, since you’ve reached the Pro plan contact limit and prefer not to upgrade to a higher plan, you can pay separately for any additional contacts above the limit at $0.05 per contact. The total recalculated amount will be charged during your next monthly billing cycle.
Also, we’ve noticed that your Instagram page is currently disabled. You can resume automations by going to Settings > Instagram and clicking “Enable channel.”
I’d like to clarify why deleting contacts does not reduce charges under the current pricing model.
Billing is based on active contacts, meaning contacts who interacted with your account at any point during the current billing cycle, not the total number of stored contacts.
Because of this, if a contact was active during the month, it will count as active until the billing cycle ends, even if deleted. Deleting contacts does not reduce charges or reset the active counter mid-cycle. Active contacts cannot be replaced within the same billing period, and the active contact counter cannot be manually reset.
Additionally, if deleted contacts interact again, they may be added with a new contact ID, which can increase your active contact count and potentially lead to higher charges. For these reasons, deleting contacts during a billing cycle is not recommended.

Yes I was on the Pro plan 2500 contacts.. I’ve just cancelled my manychats subscription and got a refund.. I’ll try and find another automations app that’s not going to charge me for contacts I don’t need. Annoying as I was happy with the rest of manychats just not the extra charges!
