Hi everyone,
I'd love to get some advice from those who have experience running ManyChat automations for Facebook and Instagram comments.
Our biggest challenge isn't getting people to comment—it's making sure those commenters actually enter the Auto-DM flow and successfully receive the messages.
Right now, we have a large number of people commenting on our posts, showing genuine interest in our free eBook. ManyChat sends the opening message, but only a small fraction of those messages are actually delivered successfully. As a result, most interested commenters never continue through the automation.
This means we're losing the majority of our leads at the very first step—the opening message.
Our main question is:
What are the best practices for maximizing the number of Facebook and Instagram commenters who successfully enter the Auto-DM flow and receive the first message?
We're hoping to learn if there are ways to improve:
- Auto-DM delivery rates.
- The percentage of commenters who successfully enter the automation.
- Flow or trigger configurations that improve performance.
- Messaging strategies that increase the likelihood of successful delivery.
- Any Meta limitations or platform behaviors we should be aware of.
Ultimately, our goal is to ensure that as many interested commenters as possible receive the free resource they requested and continue through the nurturing sequence. Once we can improve successful message delivery at the start of the automation, we're confident our lead-to-customer conversion rate will improve as well, since our biggest drop-off currently happens at the opening message.
Has anyone experienced something similar or found strategies that significantly improved Auto-DM delivery and entry rates for Facebook or Instagram commenters?
We'd really appreciate any insights or best practices. Thanks in advance! 🙏
