Hi, I’ve been working on a proyect to help small brands automate their responses in Instagram.

Can’t verify my app yet with meta so I thought using Manychat API was a smart workaround.

I need clarification with contact usage.

  • If a Business I automate, receives 500 DMs per month, am I ok with Pro suscription?
  • I mean, what happens in ten months? Is it still 500 per month or is it 5000 contacts? $15 vs $45
  • Is the client doomed to “carry” forever a contact that was a one time purchase or they reset each month?

This is key in my business model and it would be a nice Yes or a hard No depending on the answer.

You are right… Manychat's contacts accumulate, and you will be billed if they aren't deleted. 🙃

But you can easily prevent that setting an automation up With a Date trigger that checks de contact last interaction for some time and add a Action step to delete them:

This will trigger 24h after the last interaction from the contact with the IG Account

 

This will keep your contact number low and you will just be billed for the amount of active contacts.
