Can anyone advise the best way to connect Manychat to Klaviyo?

I don’t really want to use the native MC connection as I understand it’s not working properly, reading other threads in here.

The client uses Make.

But there only seems to be options for Create Profile or Update Profile, two separate options, within the Klaviyo connection to add them to a list.

If I Create Profile, I get an error if the email already exists within Klaviyo - and if I use Update Profile, I get an error if the subscriber is new and they don’t already exist.

Can anyone shed any light for me? Thx

I don’t use Klavyio, but after some research on Klavyio’s API documentation, you can use the profile endpoint. Check it out: https://developers.klaviyo.com/en/reference/get_profiles

 

While on Make.com, you’ll need to get the profile by email and add a router:

  1. If exists → update
  2. If not exists → create

Hey - thank you! Yes makes sense - I had a feeling it would need to look something like that. I am quite a Make novice though (normally connecting to Active Campaign) so I’m struggling with the step by step process of what that would look like in Make - not sure I know how to use the routers!
