Messages : not everyone can message this...

The reason you’re seeing this kind of message is because those users have chosen not to receive messages from everyone.

If the user doesn’t allow it, unfortunately, Manychat can’t do anything about it.

it doesnt make sense - we were having real conversations with real people and then suddenly one day we got hundreds of these and no REAL conversations. seems like some kind of bug or something wrong. It cant be that hundreds of people are responding to our ad and they ALL chose not to receive messages. 

also ​@rodrigo_silvano if I click into these accounts - they are all bots or fake accounts.

​@Jen_beautista Now it makes sense to me. Manychat is “the middle man” that you use to deliver an automated message to everyone that clicks on your ad.

Manychat is not able to control whether the account is real or a bot.

Usually, that kind of accounts have 0 or 1 followers, 5 at top.

So, you can add a condition on your flow that says:

If the account followers are below 5 →  delete contact, if are above → continue the flow.

​@rodrigo_silvano thank you! i will try this. i just feel like i’m spending lots of $ on meta and being charged for bot activity. Its weird because Manychat was working beautifully at first and then a few months in this bot activity took over and we have had no real conversations in over 1 month.

​@Jen_beautista, check your audience on Meta Ads and add more segmentation and check your placements. Using “Audience Network” as a placement could increase the chance that some bots to click on your ads because they are shown outside of Instagram or Facebook.

​@rodrigo_silvano  i will check with our ads person. i do know some of our ads were hiring so we could not use lookalike or target a location because of meta policy. i appreciate your help!
