I noticed the same issue on my account, but it seems to be back to normal now. At this moment, I'm able to send and receive messages in real time again.
Check your account to see if it's working normally for you too.

We're aware of an issue that affected Live Chat message synchronization on some accounts, mainly across Meta-related channels, with WhatsApp being the most impacted. The disruption lasted for about three hours, from 17:30 UTC+0 to 20:30 UTC+0, and has now been resolved.
