Messenger : Buttons randomly not working (~20% of users) – looking for a real workaround

Hi everyone,

I’ve used ManyChat successfully for over a year, but for the past few weeks buttons in the first Facebook Messenger messages randomly don’t work for some users. I’d estimate ~20% of the time — which is huge at scale and causes real brand damage.

Issue: users click buttons and nothing happens.

I’ve done everything Support / AI Bot suggested (permissions refresh, reconnect, automations off/on, Advanced Messaging checks). Still happening.

Anyone else seeing this lately?
Any working workaround that still allows email capture?

    The way you’ve built your flow, the buttons will never work.

    The connector line should go from the button to the next block, not using the “next step”. This way, the next message will be sent after the user clicks the button.

    Thanks ! Apologies, that was a mistake in my fake example. In my real automations, the connector line does go from the button.
